What can you expect here


Of course France is famous for its baguettes, cheeses an wines. Did you know that the French eat a total of 1.4 times the earths diameters worth of baguette a year!!! All through the countryside of France wine fields spread out as far as you can see.

In France the official language is French, it is also the only recognized language. There are other languages and dialects spoken as well in France but none of them is recognized as an official language.

France knows 4 diffrent climates, in the west near the cost there is a typical maritime climate Which means that the winters are mild, the summers cool and a frequent rainfall during 180 days a year. More land inward France has a mild-latitude continental climate. Here there are much hotter summers and more rigorous winters. Also the rainfall is much fewer here. A mountain climate is found in the higher parts of France, temperatures are very low due to the high mountains which involves relative cool summers and extremely cold winters. A Mediterranean climate exists over a distance of 20 to 60 km along the Mediterranean coast. The summers are hot and the winters mild and soft. Rain does fall here but only very rarely.

France is divided into 22 regions each split up in different departments. The French government is divided into many sections and ministries, below you will find a list of the most important ones. A simplified hierarchy is as follows: The President of France, The Senat, The Parliament, Regional council, County council, Town council.
 

Shopping in France


If you love shopping you’ll adore France. During your studying, internship or practical work experience you’ll find the greatest stores, brands, centers, malls and shopping streets in almost every city. Not to mention all the attractive boutiques spread throughout all the nostalgic streets of France.
